A camping we will go....

This past weekend we went on a camping adventure to Moon Lake. It was amazing, if you have not been there, you definitely need to put it on the list of things to do. Just see for yourself!

My brother James discovered it and we were gad he did. The weather was great and the company was awesome too. We went with my two older brothers and their families and Bryson and Kellilyn. Moon lake has an awesome beach area with many trees and trails to hike on. Here is Ryland checking out the beach area and the water.

We attempted to do a hike friday morning. That didn't exactly go as planned. Ryland wanted to be carried like 95 percent of the hike and do you realize how heavy this little boy is? He is pretty close if not over 40 pounds and not even 2 and half years old. So we took turns carrying him and Cam but after about a mile we were done. Someday Ry will be able to walk further by himself! It was a beautiful hike and we enjoyed what we saw and snapped a little family picture on the way.

Friday afternoon we spent playing on the beach. The water was Freezing!! It was fun to play in the sand and get your feet wet. Ryland loved throwing sticks and sand into the water with his shovel. There was an endless supply of sticks on the beach for him to throw, he loved it!

We attempted to build a sand castle with all the cousins too.

Lance and my brothers Chris and James decided to jump into the lake. It was super cold but they survived. Here is a movie of them getting out there. It just makes me cold watching this! :) And yes, it was pretty windy on the beach.

Bryson found a log he could balance on and spent a lot of time floating around the lake with his nephews. They had fun doing that!

My little Camden loved camping! He did awesome and slept like a champ in the tent, it was great. He was all smiles most of the weekend.

Same with Ryland, they both did great and had so much fun.

We had an amazing dutch oven dinner that night with smores to top it all off. Ann taught me how to make the perfect smore, it was amazing. All you have to do is set the top half of your graham with the chocolate on it, on top of the rim of the fire pit, and let the chocolate get melted and warm while you roast your mallow. Wah-la when you put it together the result is the best smore ever. It is so much better with the melted chocolate. The perfect smore.

And Ann eating the perfect smore. Thanks Ann!

Lance and Ry chilling by the fire.

Ry with Kellilyn and Bryson

We had a great night sitting by the fire, playing telephone, and not having a care in the world! We had another amazing dutch oven breakfast in the morning. It was delicious. Ryland loved having all his cousins with him all weekend. Here he is with Abby and Hailey eating breakfast.

Lance and Maria made up our awesome breakfast! Thanks guys.

Ryland loved smacking this stick against the tree. He loved getting super dirty and me just letting him do whatever he wanted. Sticks, Rocks, and Dirt, ya Ryland was in heaven! Check out our awesome tent in the trees here. I am serious, it was an amazing place.

Oh and this little guy wanted to share all of our food with us!

Our happy camper!

James and Ann rented a kayak Saturday morning and after we packed up we went out for a ride on the lake. It was fun. I have never done that before. Bryson took Ry and I out.

And Lance went out with Kellilyn and Ryland again. He loved putting his hands in the water from the side.

Camden almost got to drive us home too! He was pretty excited about that.

And now we are on to enjoying this week with this family

And we finally got to meet this little one for the first time! Sweet little Lola. She and Cam are going to be great friends!
