Camden's Blessing

We were lucky enough to have auntie rie rie and uncle wilson come and stay with us this last weekend. We had a great time having them over and Ryland was spoiled with all their attention. They took him to the discovery gateway saturday morning and spent the morning playing with him. He loved it and not to mention it was a great break for Lance and I. It was great hanging out with them for the weekend. Camden loved snuggling with his auntie all weekend.

We also did Camden's blessing on Sunday. It was a great day besides the 2 inches of snow that we woke up too! Spring will hopefully show up soon around here. Lance did an amazing blessing and it was great to be with so much family. We gathered at my Grandmas after the blessing and spent the afternoon together. We took way too many pictures and out of all those pictures I don't have one of just Camden....awesome right? Its all good, he looks adorable in all of these other pictures with family, so that will just have to do.
Marie and James with Ry and Cam before we left.

At the church

Lance's dad and step-mom, Maddie and Gilda

Almost all of my family...yes there is a lot of us and I know it is nearly impossible to get a good one of everyone!

And this hilarious video of how you try and get over 30 people to all smile and look at the camera at the same time. Thanks Cindy! You gotta love Ryland and Kira saying cheese the whole time. :)

And the 5 grandkids my mom got in 9 months!

Love this picture of Ryland, Camden and Kira with Grandma Bradley. Grandma is great!

Family Picture, just pretend like Ryland really wanted to take this picture and has a huge smile on his face.

Family picture with my parents

Maddie was lucky enough to get some huge smiles from Camden. He was so happy for his special day!

Ryland and Kira, how can you not just love these two together. They are so cute!

And when we got home we all felt like doing what Ryland did.

It was such a great weekend and a perfect blessing day. We were glad everything went so smoothly. Happy blessing day Camden, we love you!

Random Happenings

Camden is now over 6 weeks old. He is growing up so fast...it doesn't take long to see that in his cheeks! They are so squishy, we love them. In just 6 weeks he went from itsey bitsey

to this little guy

I am telling you, he is growing so fast. Camden has been practicing his tummy time and is getting pretty good at picking his head up. Here he is showing off his skill.

And here is his cute little smile. We are still trying to get a better one of those.

I don't think it is ever going to get old finding Ry and Cam in crazy sleeping positions. This is how we found Ryland the other night. Comfortable huh?

Camden can't seem to keep the hat from going in his eyes. We find him like this quite often. Guess it is time to start sleeping without the hat.

Ryland was watching a movie like this one morning, he is hilarious. Love his crossed legs and folded arms.

And Ryland let us take another picture with him and his brother. He is getting so much better with him and we are so happy about that. Aren't they cute!

Happy 2nd Birthday Ryland!

Yes, this post is way WAY way too long with many pictures and videos. I just wanted to let you all know I am aware of that. :)
I seriously can't believe that my little Ryland is already 2 years old. His birthday was on Sunday and we had a fun time celebrating all weekend long. We were lucky enough to have Grandma Jo and Grandpa staying with us. Ryland loves, LOVES his early mornings with his Grandpa while we all sleep in a little. Thanks Grandpa, it is a nice break! We did most of our celebrating on Saturday for his birthday. We thought we would go to the Discovery Gateway in the morning. Ryland was super excited to go play with the balls there.

We didn't take into consideration that there was a St. Patricks Day parade going on downtown when we left. Thankfully we made it through the crowd of people and that made the Discovery Gateway not crowded at all. That was nice. Ryland still loves that place, I don't think it will ever get old for him. He had fun showing Grandma and Grandpa everything there was to do there. This movie totally cracks me up, check out his hair blowing in the wind, and how can you not love his adorable "cheese".

Love the hair!

Riding on the elevator! So exciting!

Driving the helicopter with Grandpa

He loved looking over the balcony outside with Lance. There was a ton of people and dogs going by on the street below and he couldn't get enough of all the people watching.

Doing the news with Grandma and Grandpa

And of course, playing in the water.

We got home and put Ryland down for his nap and Aunt Lisa came over to finally meet Camden and join us for Rylands party. Camden and Lisa caught a little nap before the party. So precious.

And now for the awesome basketball party. Ryland loves basketball right now. We "hired" my amazing sister in law again to help with the cake. We had a lot to live up to after the dog from last year. As usual, she didn't disappoint making a basketball

and several basketball cupcakes to accompany it. Thanks Maria! Good work!

We let Ryland shoot the basektball around for a little while before we did presents.

Singing Happy Birthday, he was a pro at blowing at his candles!

Ryland doesn't like being center of attention and gets super shy when everyone is watching him. He didn't want to have anything to do with opening his presents. Awesome right? His aunt Lisa gave him this toy and he spent most of the time playing with it while Lance and I opened most of his gifts. Such a funny kid.

He did take a moment to put on his sunglasses. What a stud!

He also loves this cars card from grandma and grandpa and a mickey card from maddie. Both of them sing when you open them and he has played with them as much as his other gifts.

Thanks for all the gifts everyone, he loves them all! Lance and I decided to get him a tricycle for his birthday. He LOVES it, and is getting pretty good at pushing the petals on it. We got him one we can push for him and help him with until he learns to do it himself. We went on a nice long walk on Sunday and he was able to break his bike in then. He had a great time and now always asks for his bike. He wants to ride it all day long!

Enjoying his cake and ice cream with his most favorite cousin Kira.

Camden enjoyed the birthday party in his new St. Patricks day shirt! Thanks Lisa!

Ryland also got a tee set for his birthday from his Nana and Pappy. He is a pro at it already. We can't wait till it warms up more and we can go outside and play ball.

Happy Birthday Ryland. We love you so much. By way of his stats, as you can see, he is HUGE for his age. I took him to the doctor for his 2 year check up and he is officially 37 pounds and 37 inches tall. I guess 37 is his lucky number, and yes my arms can feel all 37 of those pounds when I carry him! :) He tops the chart at just over the 95%. The doctor projects his height to be anywhere from 6 feet 3 inches to 6 feet 6 inches. So yes, he will most likely be a foot taller than me....I feel short! We are so happy he healthy and has no problems, even if he is a big boy. He is such a good boy and can say several words now. His favorite word still seems to be Lisa, he says it all the time even if he isn't talking to me. Someday he will call me mom...I think. We are so happy to have Ryland in our family. Lance and I both love him so much and can't wait to explore next year with him, even if it will include a lot of 2 year old tantrums! Bring it on! Happy Birthday Ryland!

Cousin Adelaide comes to visit

Ryland had so much fun last week with his cousin Adelaide. She was in town staying with us for almost a week and Ryland loved having her to play with. Unfortunately, as usual, I didn't take a whole ton of pictures, but I got a few. They were so good together and shared really well. Ryland loved to give her different toys and Adelaide just loved watching his every move. She was good to deal with him talking to her in a super high pitched voice all the time. That is Ryland's new thing since his brother has been around. He loves talking to him in a super high pitched voice and anyone that looks to be younger then him. It is pretty funny. We had a crazy snow storm that resulted in an 8 hour long power outage while they were here. Thankfully most of it was overnight, but we had fun talking and chilling in the dark for a few hours before bed time. We loved having Brenda and baby cousin Adelaide here with us and can't wait till they come back again. It is so much fun to see how they play together as cousins. I am sure they will be close friends for many years to come!
We were taking pictures on the stairs and Ryland kept leaning into Adelaide like this....

Which resulted in Adelaide doing this...

It was great, she couldn't figure out why he kept leaning on her. Such an adorable little girl! Love this picture!

Sharing fruit snacks, they were so good together.

And a little movie of them playing with the balls together. Thanks Brenda for the endless games of throwing the balls up and down the stairs. They loved it!

And just a few other gems from this last week.
Just after Camdens bath.

The little brother is growing up way too fast. He is getting huge already.

Does anyone else have a child that loves to sort anything in some scientific order that makes no sense to you as a parent? Ryland had a great system going on these marshmellows for lunch the other day. He was even eating them in a specific order. It was hilarious!

And a 4 week photo shoot on Camden resulted in some hilarious faces such as this

and this.

You may remember seeing that same face from a previous post. If not, here is a refresher. Seriously, one in the same!

and we almost got a smile in there while I was at it. Such a cute kid!
