Easter in Mesquite

We love our tradition of going to Mesquite every year for Easter. It is so fun to spend time with Lances family down there and enjoy the warm weather before it gets too hot down there. Marie and James and Jonny and Misty also joined us. Friday we had a practice easter egg hunt for the boys. Misty was smart to bring a bunch of eggs to practice with. The boys thought it was great too. Wilson and Ry playing football in the backyard. Ryland was loving it! :) Saturday was the big easter egg hunt. The boys were super excited to get some eggs. They were having so much fun with cousin Mason as well. Love these boys! Cohen was loving the sun. He was so happy every time we went outside. The easter egg hunt was fun as always. Marie helped Cam get out there. Notice Jonny trying to get Mason to go find some eggs. Poor Mason wasn't having it though. Lance went with Ryland to his age group. They scored a few eggs over there as well. The boys had a good time even if they don't get buckets full of eggs. I wonder how some of those kids got so many eggs so fast. I am glad my boys are happy to just get a few and we move on with life. Family Pic Marie, Wilson, and Ry. Then it was onto Easter egg dying at Grandmas. They boys did great this year. And look at all those pretty eggs! We spent the afternoon swimming. I snapped this picture before we left. The boys weren't excited at all right....? And then I forgot to bring my camera to the pool, so sad! I had to settle for some phone pictures. It was Cohens first time swimming. He didn't really like it at first But warmed up a little towards the end. He was rocking Noras sunglasses. Ha ha! Love it! It was a great time! So nice to be out swimming and enjoying summer like weather again! Swimming proved to be a bit much for Cohen, and Camden. They were both out cold! There is nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby though, I love it! We caught up with Aunt Annabelle that afternoon. We were sad to not have Uncle Bob with us anymore as he passed on a few weeks previous. We were sad to miss the funeral and events there but happy to catch up with Ann and spend sometime with her on the trip. We will miss Uncle Bob! Cohen couldn't get enough of Annabelle, he was so into everything she said and did. It was fun to watch, he loves her already! We had a great easter dinner the evening and enjoyed visiting with everyone. And it seems as though no trip to Mesquite would be complete now without several games of tennis. Ryland can't get enough of playing with Rie Rie and Wilson. This night tennis trip was a great time, it was perfect outside. I sure do love all these people! Fun night! Easter bunny was able to find us Sunday morning! Yay! The boys were super excited about all the jelly beans. They found Cohens basket first and then it was on to theirs Cams was in the oven... And Rys in the dryer! Lance was lucky enough to catch Cohen mid barf for this picture....story of his life! Take 2.....Happy Easter! And we had to try out the bubbles before we left. It was such a great weekend as always. We loved every minute. Thanks Grandma Jo and Papa Tom for a great time! And yes, I love this bunny mask Ry made at school! Ha ha! Happy Easter all!

New Carpet

Sometimes you wonder why you wait so long to do things right? That is what Lance and I have ended up doing since we got new carpet. It has been so nice to not have nasty white carpet anymore. We are loving the new carpet and wonder why we waited so long. It makes our house seem new even when its not. It has been nice. Clearly we needed a change when you can tell exactly where all our furniture went and exactly where the foot traffic was. Gross! We are loving the new stuff and are hoping it won't show the dirt as much as this white carpet did. It already is so much better We love it! The boys were so excited about the carpet too. They kept running from room to room, making carpet angles, and jumping around. Not sure if that is because there was no furniture in the rooms or because they were really that excited! :) Yay for new carpet!
