Busy Week = Many different postings

Ryland is now 7 almost 8 months old. Seriously, how did this happen? My baby is getting so grown up. Here are just some random pictures we have taken of him this last month. (Just incase you haven't already seen enough of him yet!) :) 

We took him swimming one night. He fell asleep on the way home all wrapped up in his little towel still.

This is his sleeping position of choice lately. I am not sure how comfortable that is, but hey whatever works!

This little guy got stuck on Ryland's nose the other day. He couldn't figure out how to get that one off. We eventually had to get it off for him. 

Ryland loves bath time still. He is learning it is fun to sit up and splash around that way.

Homecoming

My brother Brian had his homecoming talk on Sunday. He did an awesome job. It was fun to see some family there that we had not seen for a while. It is bitter sweet for him to be him and done with the mission. We are super glad to have him back though and have had so much fun with him the last couple of weeks he has been home. Welcome home Elder Bradley!

90 Years Young

My Grandma will turn 90 years old on wednesday....yes my friends, 90. She is amazing and is still going strong. We had a huge birthday party for her last saturday complete with food, family, life sketches and of course a birthday cake. It was a blast. I only hope to live to be 90 years old!! Here to many more years Grandma! We love you!

Pumpkin Walk

We went with my family to the pumpkin walk last week. They have something like over 1000 pumpkins carved and placed around this park. They have some really interesting pumpkins carved. It was really cool. We took Ryland dressed in his halloween costume....a dog.

2nd Haircut, 1st "real cut"

I finally gave in and let Lance cut Ryland's hair to be all one length. If you remember a couple of months ago we gave him a little trim to get rid of the long baby hair. Well this time we pulled out the clippers and really gave him a good cut. His bangs were almost down to his eyes and it was all kinds of different lengths across his head. So we finally did it and I am glad we did. He looks so much older with his hair short, it looks really good. Here is a movie right before we did it. He didn't mind it at all when we started. He was just chillin in his highchair trying to figure out what was going on.....

He soon realized he didn't like it so much though and this was pretty much how the rest of the cut went. :)

This is pretty much the best one I have that shows you what it looks like now. What a stud! 

Pumpkin Hunting!

We went to the local pumpkin patch here in Farmington to pick out the perfect pumpkins for Halloween. It was actually all of our first experiences at a pumpkin patch!

Family Picture, too bad Ryland's eyes are closed...We didn't know how to tell a complete stranger to do a really crazy dance, while making crazy noises, and snap pictures as quick as possible in order to hopefully get one with him not only looking, but smiling too! Maybe next time...:)

Las Vegas Ragnar and Welcome Home Elder Bradley!

Wow, this last weekend sure was a BUSY one! I left on Thursday night to run in the Las Vegas Ragnar Relay. That was hard to leave Lance and Ryland, but it was such a blast. It is a 12 man relay race through the Valley of Fire and Las Vegas totaling 177 miles. You may remember when I posted about Lance running the Wasatch Back in June. It is the same race, only this one was in Las Vegas. I lucked out and got the easiest legs on the course! :) I pretty much needed that considering Ryland is only 6 months old. Anyway, we started racing at 10:30 on friday morning, and we finished at about 11:30 on saturday morning. I had a 3.4 mile leg (27 minutes) a 3.2 mile leg (28 minutes) and a 4.4 mile leg (40 minutes). I was way glad I got to participate. The only damper on the whole race was one team had a team member get hit and was killed by a drunk driver early saturday morning. We didn't see any of it, but we sure have heard about it and it definitely has tugged at our heart strings. So sad, he leaves behind a wife and 3 kids. We wish his family and friends all the best during this difficult time! You definitely feel like the people out on the course are part of your family even if you don't know any of them! Unfortunately we didn't get to stay for the end to cross the finish line with our whole team. My little brother Brian was returning from his mission that same night. So we finished our runs, got our medals and were leaving Vegas by 11:00 to try and get home before Brian's plane landed. We were lucky enough to make it! :) He just got home from the South Africa Durban mission and we are soooo glad he is home. We missed him tons! It is going to be so fun to have him back. We were busy all night saturday and into sunday hanging out with him. He had a great mission and it was so fun to hear all about it! Welcome home Elder Bradley. Here are some pictures from that as well.

He loves sobes so we had one at the airport for him and plenty of them at home. He missed them for 2 years! :)

And he was even lucky enough to get a welcome home on the DQ sign! He must be one pretty cool dude! :)
