We finally got Ryland in for his 3 year well check. We confirmed what we pretty much already knew, he is huge. His stats are now 42 pounds and 42 1/2 inches tall. Yes, my friends, he is officially off the charts, which he has never been before. He has always been between the 75-90% but never off the charts. Anyway, he is right about the 100% for his weight and the 110% for his height. Thankfully he is large in both height and weight so he doesn't look overly huge, just not quite the correct age. The doctor said they aim for kids going to kindergarten to be about the size Ry is right now. So it is safe to say he is about the size of a 5 year old. Wow! I don't know where he gets it from! Everything else looks great, he is a healthy happy kid so we are not complaining! He impressed the doctor by counting to 15 and getting some colors correct. He also showed the doctor how fast he can run. They were having fun together. It is so nice to have a great doctor!
And just for a size comparison, here is Rylands cousin McKaylee. They are 14 months apart, but he towers right over her. That is pretty much how he is with most his cousins and friends.
What else have we been up to lately, not much. I got home from a run the other day. I put Cam inside while I got Ryland out and put the stroller away. I came back in to find him sounds asleep on the tile. I guess he was super beyond all tired! Funny kid.
But doesn't he look adorable in his cowboy get-up? My mom had a super fun grandkids party for the kids a while back. They both had a blast.
Cam also thought it was pretty steller to follow the dog under the bed. Ya, it took me a while to find him.
Oh yes, we have been tackling the big deck project this last week or so too. By we, I mean Lance, and his helpers. It is looking amazing and we are going to be done with it soon! Yea! Here is the some of the progress in pictures. Getting started.
Closer,
Closer,
The boys were super good to hang out in the pool and be super patience with us all day! Check out Cam's new haircut too. He looks just like Ry huh?
Closer,
And almost there.
It is going to be awesome when it is done. Lance has worked super hard on it and we can't wait to enjoy it all summer. Thanks Lance!
We had fun celebrating Easter last weekend with Lances family in Mesquite. It was awesome to leave Thursday night and miss the lovely snow storm we got on Friday morning. It was so nice to be soaking up some much needed sun. The boys did great on the drive down. Ryland loved being in his "house" watching a movie. It was super sunny so he could see it much better in his house. And Cam was always putting his blanket on top of his head too. Funny kids. We stopped in St. George and meet up with Bryce and Kameron at the arts festival. They had some amazing art, it was so cool to look at. And they had tons of free stuff for kids to do. Ryland loved playing on these drums! He also made a bug jar some binoculars and a bracelet. It was a great way to spend the afternoon. Saturday morning we went to the city easter egg hunt. Lance and I have never been to one so we thought we would see what it was all about. It was fun, they divided the kids up into different age groups so Lance went with Ry and I took Cam. I heard on the radio a few days ago some tips to help your kid be successful in an easter egg hunt. I probably should have taken some of those into consideration because Ryland didn't get it....at all! That mixed with his super shyness (I know, a child of mine shy??) did not make for the best combination. Lance was super good with him and caught the moment on video. Lance picked up an egg from off the ground and put it in his bucket, which Ryland promptely threw back out and another girl snatched up right from under him. LOL, anyway, kind of funny, he finally got that he wanted to get eggs when he stepped on one and saw the candy. And then he fell, ya not a good day for Ry, by then most the eggs were gone. It is tough being three huh? And as you can see..
Thankfully Camden scored a ton of eggs on our side so he was nice enough to share half of his with Ryland. Good memories for sure! And Camden couldn't get enough of the eggs as you can see. He enjoyed throwing plastic eggs all weekend around Grandma Jos house, thankfully they were patient with him. We also dyed up some easter eggs on Saturday as well. Grandma Jo and Ry did awesome with the eggs. Close up on Ry but look at those beautiful blue eyes....love them! Dying em up! Look at those beauties! You will have to notice Lances double dipped master pieces in the back there! We had fun! Lance and Cam relaxing! Grandma Jo and Papa Tom found a new park to take us to so we went there that afternoon. It was awesome. My little no fear Cam would have played there all day. He was loving it! And how can you not love this little face? Lance and the happy little Cammers! They have an awesome splash pad with these huge soccer balls. Too bad the water was not on yet, we will have to visit again when it is. Ryland loved the huge soccer balls! They also had a climbing wall the Camden wished he was big enough to climb. Thankfully Papa Tom helped him! We even got the kite up for a few minutes! Good work Lance! Sunday morning the easter bunny managed to find us at Grandma Jos and Papa Toms! Ryland loved following and picking up the trail of jelly beans! Ry found his basket in the dryer... And was nice enough to help Cam find his in the oven! Cam couldn't wait to get all of that goodness in him! LOL! Trying out the new toy! We spent the rest of our easter enjoying it with family and eating way too much delicious food, that I failed to get a picture of. We had a great time just being with each other. And then I attempted to take a picture of Ry and Cam with their grandparents which Ryland pulled the fact that he is three and I can't make him do anything anymore and used it against me. Ya so too bad for him...but lucky Cam has this cute picture! Ryland loved playing outside all weekend with Papa Tom, this is right before we left the beautiful weather behind!! It was so nice to enjoy the sun and we can't wait to get some more of it here! Thanks Grandma Jo and Papa Tom for letting us come!! We hope you all enjoyed your Easter!
Ry and Cam had a great time celebrating easter a little early with their cousins and my family. We filled up all the eggs and they had a blast trying to find them. They have a lot of cousins huh...and this isn't even all of them! :) It was so fun to have Natalie and Brett in town too. She was nice enough to help Camden find some eggs. Ry got hooked up. He loved finding the eggs. We also got our jazz game on the other night. We were lucky enough to see the Jazz and Jimmer..oh yeah! We didn't know who to cheer for right? :) Ryland loves to say go Jazz, go Jimmer! I think he probably thinks Jimmer plays on the Jazz but it is all good! Ryland LOVED it! He thought it was super awesome to see them play for real! See.... Unfortunately they have a hard time lasting through the whole game, especially Cam, but we made it all the way to the end just to see the Jazz lose by 2...too bad. It was fun though and we were glad to finally get to a game this year! Oh and sorry about your head Ry, didn't mean to cut you out! We have also been having fun hanging out with these cousins too! Nearly impossible to get all of them looking with so many distracting toys! So cute! And these two just have way too much fun together! Love this! Happy Easter weekend everyone! This is my best attempt at getting a picture with these 2 boys together. I just can win with pictures anymore....what can you do? I think they like each other sometimes!
