Cohen can crawl and other news

Cohen finally figured out how to crawl on his hands and knees, instead of an army crawl in September. It was a long time coming. He was 10 months old and it has been so nice that he figured it out. We had him on the grass one evening after a soccer game and he didn't like the feel of the grass so much so he put his knees up and ta-dah, he figured it out! So cute! And I am so glad because he was getting his clothes so dirty from dragging his body on the ground all the time! :) It only took him a couple days after this till he had it down really well. Good job Co! Love this baby and his determined look! And he is so happy all the time. He loves his bottle and many times you can see him smiling from behind his bottle or paci! He also found out how cool it is to hang out in a laundry basket! And this face completely cracks me up! Ha ha! Lance competed in another Salt to Saint relay in Septmeber too. His team did great this year and had a good time as usual. I packed the boys up and headed down to St George. My brother and their family are so great to house us all the time. We sure have been down there a lot the last few months. We love it and always have such a good time down there. I went down Friday night and then we watched Lance and his team cross the finish line Saturday morning. It was a beautiful weekend for a race. Good job Lance! We took the kids to the local swimming pool while we were down there too. The kids loved the slide and swimming with their cousins. They would have stayed there all day if they could. The guys were nice enough to let us girls have the night to ourselves while they put the kids to bed. We enjoyed some shopping and ice cream. It was a fun night. Cutest cousins ever. They have so much fun together. Love these girls so much! Eric and Ry. Eric is 2 years older than Ryland, same size though! Eric is great to play with Ryland and Ryland sure loves Eric. They get along great. We loved going to the zoo in the fall too. Most days were nice enough for the water to be on in their little splash pad area. The kids loved running around there. Cohen especially loved splashing till his heart was content. Good times They loved going with their cousins too. Lola who is 3 rocked out Cohens swim suit one time we were there. Love it! Love these 2! Cohen LOVED spending time on the swing at Grandmas house. He would do this for hours. I love his hair in this picture too. Aw...

First Days of School 2014

Ryland was SO excited to go to the "big school" this year. He is in morning kindergarten and got up super early on the first day of school. He was ready to go! I love that we are close enough to walk to his school and that is just what we did the first day. Still can't believe he is old enough to be in kindergarten. Such a cute kid! Good ol Farmington Elementary. His teach is Mrs. Huckins. She has been teaching for 30 plus years at the school. She truly loves the kids and is just like a grandma to all of them. He loves her and is loving school. We also got him a Roadrunners shirt. He loves it. My favorite comment the first day I picked him up from school was "school was really fun, but I am starving!" Ha ha! He was a little disappointed that they got to go to to school on the first day and then didn't get to go back till Thursday. It was a long couple days of testing for all the kindergarteners until they got to go back. :) To say he loves school is a understatement. He really LOVES school. Win win for us! Camden got to start preschool this year too. He was excited to get a chance to go to school too. He goes to the same preschool that Ryland went to when he was 3. It is their 34th year teaching preschool, so crazy! And unfortunately it is their last year. They have done some great things with the kids, and we will miss them. Here is Camden on his first day, he was super excited too. Love this little preschooler. Outside his school for the first day. He was so excited and nervous all at the same time. Camden has to be convinced most days that school is fun and he wants to go! :) He always has some excuse as to why he can't go to school, ie: sick, too tired, leg hurts, its too cold outside, etc....He has a lot of excuses I am telling you! For a couple weeks at the beginning, I left him crying because he didn't want to go. Complete opposite of Ryland right there! He always has fun though and never cried for more than 5 minutes after I left. His teacher was always so nice to call me after I dropped him off and let me know he was totally fine and stopped crying! She is awesome! Anyway, school is still a work in progress with Camden but I have seen great improvement over the last couple months and I am so glad he goes. And he always comes home happy and says he has a good time. So baby steps forward with Camden, and I wouldn't expect anything else from that little one! Camden and Cohen enjoy the mornings without Ryland and it has been good for them to spend a little time together. We have loved walking and riding bikes to get Ryland to and from school. It has been so fun and is a perfect little distance to get us out. 1/2 mile there and 1/2 mile back. The kids love it. And Baylee the dog loves getting out for walks. Camden loves to hook her leash up to his bike and thankfully Baylee is the best dog ever and puts up with it. So cute! Its been a great year thus far!
