Here are a few highlights of what we have been up to lately. The zoo with my cute little monkeys!
And yep they are almost the size of orangutans! :)
It was a miracle that we finally got them on the carousel. I always offer when we go but they both scream no and have been scared of it for as long as we have been going there. I asked them on this particular time and they sad yes. I didn't even know how to react to that! :) Ha ha, they were super excited and loved it, and had a great time. Now we will probably have to do that every time we go now!
We went and saw aunt Maddie in her Aladdin play as well. She did great, the boys loved all the singing and dancing too. It was good, great job Maddie!
Yes, Ryland is wearing his baseball glove. He has been loving playing t-ball the past few weeks. He is pretty darn good too! He had a game the same day as his preschool graduation and I am pretty sure the baseball game was the highlight of the day. He has loved playing and will be so sad when it is over next week. Here are some pictures of his last game.
Ready for the ball,
Practicing his swing before going up to bat
Hitting the ball
And my personal favorite, he tried so hard to slide into home. It was legendary, and worked, um...great! He just needed to get his feet in front of him instead of pushing him forward and almost landing on his face. He was super proud of it and his coach gave him mad props for trying. So cute!
And of course we have to highlight my brother getting back from his mission last week. He has been serving in Eugene Oregon. My parents were able to go and pick him up and we were all super excited for him to come back. We got the garage all ready with the welcome home sign.
And balloons all over the yard, we were all anxiously awaiting his arrival.
Cam and Rulon, little buddies waiting for Elder Bradley
And he is back! Yea! We are so happy to have him back again!
Lance and Derik have been waiting 2 years to do this again! Hasn't changed much! :)
To celebrate having him back, we went camping. It was great, and the boys were in heaven with all the dirt, water, and rocks, especially Camden. He loves getting dirty! They have a rope swing the boys loved as well, so cute!
So happy!
And of course we got the waterslide out as well. Ryland ran up and down this hill at least 100 times, he did this for 3 hours straight and loved every minute! Such a fun way to spend the afternoon. Weeeee.....
Ry and Thomas going down.
Lovin it!
I was sad Camden was napping for most of the waterslide, but he did get to enjoy it for a minute at the end. Anyway, it was a great weekend full of fun, delicious food and we are so happy to have Derik back!!
I can't believe Ryland completed his first year of preschool already. The year went so fast. He loved every minute of it too. I have a feeling it might be a long summer because every day last week he asked me "Do I have school today?" He still hasn't figured out he is done for the next 3 months! He probably would have loved to go all summer long as well. :) He loved preschool, and so did we. He learned so much and has become so much more confident in himself. His teachers may have been super old, as in this was their 31st year teaching, but they sure knew their stuff. It was a great year. Here are some pictures from his graduation.
Saying the pledge, he is 3rd from the left
They all had a part to give in the program. Rylands part was the Care Bears helped us learn many things at preschool. He was nervous about it but did great! His teachers are big into public speaking and I can see how much he has learned this year. He has really worked on speaking loud and clear and not to be so shy, which before preschool I am sure he never would have done any of this. He has really come out of his shell a little this year. I think it is a great thing for him to learn.
His teachers also put together a little spotlight for him. This is what they had to say about him.
Mrs. Hodsen and Mrs. Kaylynn
He did it! Oh and he also tripped onto a cement block the day before graduation hence the lovely bruise on his chin!
Friends Boston and Austin
Ready for lunch, and done with pictures, so this is what we get!
Of course we had to get his favorite lunch after graduation. Keva and bread, which is great with me because that is my favorite lunch too! Yep, nailed it!
And this little one was all tuckered out after the day. This never happens but he fell asleep on my lap while we were eating. Sweet little boy.
Congrats Ryland, we are proud of you and all you have accomplished this year!
