Then we had pizza, breadsticks and salad for lunch. Yummy!
Then it was on to opening the presents. He was beyond spoiled, thanks everyone! He will have a new outfit to wear for the next couple weeks and toys to keep him busy until Christmas! :)
Then it was on to the cake. First off, thanks to my very talented sister in law Maria for doing such a great job on this cake! Are you kidding me, it looked too good to eat. She is amazing and did most of the work. I was good for an opinion, she did all the hard part! Thanks Maria, it looked and tasted great!
Ryland loved his own personal paw cake. He didn't quite know what to do with it at first. Once he figured out it tasted good.....well the pictures pretty much say the rest there. He loved every minute of it. Who wouldn't love diving into cake with your hands and no one telling you not to do it?
What was left of Ryland's cake....not bad for a little guy!
He love, LOVED and still loves the balloons Marie and Lisa picked up for him. Good thing they still have air in them, he plays with them all the time. Here he is after his party playing with his Grandpa. He would have done this for hours. And why is it that sometimes when I try to post movies on this it just doesn't work...no matter what I do?? So I guess this picture will have to suffice and you will have to look to a future post for that movie!
As you can imagine, he was very tired after all the fun. He fell fast asleep in Marie's arms after playing with his new toys for over an hour after we got home. Thanks to Grandpa Tom for getting down on the ground with him and throwing his balls around with him. He loved every minute of it. You can come back anytime and crawl around on the floor with him! :)
Thanks to everyone for coming and supporting Ryland on his big day. I can't believe how fast this last year went. We couldn't have made it without all your love and support. Happy Birthday Ryland! We love you!
P.S. Now that Ryland is one, he weighs 24 pounds and walks EVERYWHERE! He has discovered the great outdoors and loves to be outside. Thanks goodness the sun has come out and it is warming up finally! I am sure this next year is going to be as great as the last!
