City Creek

On Saturday, we were downtown for a few other things so we decided while we were there, we would check out the new city creek center. And my friends, it did not disappoint, it was awesome! When we pulled into the parking garage, we couldn't believe we were in a parking garage, even that was super nice! Everything was built with such extreme care, and it was beautiful and super clean. Hopefully it will stay that way! Ryland loved crossing over the sky bridge and watching for the train that runs right under it. And of course both the boys loved the fountain. We watched from up top for a while

And then we decided to get a closer view and went down to it.

Cam loved all the water, I am sure he just wanted to jump right in and play in it. Thankfully he was safely strapped in the stroller.

Family Picture

We were having a grand old time watching the water. They do a fountain "show" I guess you could call it every half hour and we only had 10 minutes to wait for the next one so we decided to stay where we were at and wait for the next show. Ryland was loving dancing to all the music and watching the water. Here is a movie of him enjoying it.

Right before the show started, they had the fountain shoot probably 25 feet or so into the air, it was super high and made a loud noise with all the water shooting up. They also have a fire within the fountain and that went off at the same time the water did. And insert that not so awesome spot for the show we had....ya, Lance and I both looked up at the water that had just shot up into the air and it was literally slow motion as the water was coming right for us. There was an ever so slightly down wind breeze that pushed the water just enough to fall right onto us and several others who were right by us. We got SOAKED! We laughed through it, but little Ryland was totally nervous about the fountain after that. He got all wet and just kept saying "we need to go". He didn't like it, but it was pretty funny though. Too bad I didn't start recording till after that, but here is a movie of us all wet after that...Yes, the boys hair was dripping water!

We did enjoy watching the rest of the show though and Ryland got into it after a few minutes. What are the chances right? You can also see in this movie how many people were there. Crazy busy, but flowed really well. I didn't feel too crowded and we got right in and out. It was smooth.

Lance and I

It was super fun to wander around and check it all out. The creek running through it is amazing. It was such a fun place, I am sure we will be visiting often! And we may have ended the night as one of the 1600 people to buy cheesecake at the cheesecake factory on Saturday night alone! It was delicious!! As a side note, we are loving the warm spring and our new summer clothes, aren't they adorable!

Camden also has a few new favorites such as climbing on Rylands bed, all the time!

And playing hide the car under the bed...

Yep, found it!

He would play this all day in between climbing on Rylands bed of couse! Ha ha! Such a funny kid! And aren't my tulips beautiful! Love them!

The big 3

We had a great week celebrating Rylands birthday. It was super busy and full of fun things to do. On his actual birthday, he spent most of the day doing this

He loves that new bike and rides it all the time. We were so lucky to have super nice weather last week so we spent much of it outside. He loves to whistle on his bike, such a funny kid.

Whenever we asked Ry what he wanted for his birthday, he would always answer with birthday cake. So we made up some cupcakes on his birthday.

He couldn't wait for us to sing happy birthday to him. He had to join in on the singing, he loved it.

We opened up the other presents Lance and I got him which consisted of his favorite candy, new sweat pants and a hat (just like daddy).

We also took him for a ride on the choo choo train for his birthday. Yeah, we just rode the free trax zone. He was super excited to be on the train. It was fun.

The next day Grandma Jo came and we hung out with her and Aunt Brenda and cousins Adelaide and Lola. It was beautiful outside, so we enjoyed blowing bubbles and being outside. We had dinner together and opened up his presents from Grandma Jo and Auntie Rie Rie that night too. Ry and Adelaide were best buds all weekend.

Here they are enjoying Rylands new train set from Auntie Rie Rie while watching some Yo Gabba Gabba.

On Friday we went to the Zoo with all of them as well. It was a little windy, but a beautiful day. Grandma Jo helped Ryland feed the ducks.

They had a blast together, I love this picture.

Ryland and Adelaide were both too afraid to sit on the tigers, so they sat behind them with Grandma and it seemed less scary! LOL!

Cousins, minus Lola....

Cam and Lola loved chilling in the stroller together.

And Rylands favorite, go get your hands wet on the water ball and make hand prints all over the sidewalk.

It was a perfect day for the zoo, and yes, Ryland was done by the time we tried to take this picture. :)

Saturday was the big party, and St Patricks Day! I attempted to make Rylands cake this year and I think it turned out pretty good. He of course wanted a train cake.

He loved opening up all his presents and playing with them.

Cousins...

Cam Tyson and McKaylee enjoying the party.

Cam and Lisa. It was so fun to have Lisa up from San Fran with little Ayla. She is darling, how did I not get any pictures of her??? Next time....

Ry and Ma's

He loved playing with his new scooter that Nana and Pappy got him.

And playing with his new soccer game.

Ryland with Grandpa Grandma and Kellilyn

And with Nana Pappy and Maddie

After the party we may have gotten blizzards and these two may have enjoyed it the most! Love it!

We also had an awesome dinner last night at Brendas and Lukes with all the fam too. It was such a great way to celebrate Rylands birthday all week long. Thanks eveyrone for celebrating with us! He is such a great boy and we love him so much. Happy Birthday Ryland!

Happy Birthday Ryland

I seriously can't believe Ryland is 3....where did those last 3 years go? They went way too quick that is for sure. Happy birthday Ryland!

We are going to spend all week celebrating and having fun so I will post more later. For now, this is what Ryland woke up to this morning.

It almost felt like Christmas morning! Last night Lance and Camden were busy putting it all together. Cam sure loved climbing on that box!

Ryland was super excited when he saw it this morning. He can already ride it pretty well too. It is going to be a fun summer with a bike! Happy Birthday Ryland! Cutest 3 year old ever!

Snow Day

The other day we finally got some decent snow. It has been a pretty mild winter this year as far as snow goes. Most of the snow we got is already melting away but we had a few inches to play in the other day. Ryland loved watching it snow and was super excited to get out and play in it. As you can tell....

Cam wasn't quite sure what to think of snow. I started him out on the sidewalk, just to ease him into it. He just kept making this face,

Oh...he loves to do that. It didn't take him too long to get into it. Poor guy kept losing his glove or his boot and couldn't figure out why they got super cold and wet when they came off! :) It was cute.

Ryland making our snowman

Isn't he the cutest little snowman ever?

Too bad it didn't last long and somehow fell over the next day. Oh well. And I am pretty sure it took me longer to get both boys ready to go out in the snow then we actually spent playing in the snow. I guess that is how it goes with little ones when it is cold. It was fun while it lasted and we got a little snowman out of it so we were happy. And as a side note, spring must be coming, or at least my tulips think spring is coming. Look at those beauties....

Hopefully they will make it through a few more weeks of winter. It is nice to see signs of spring, can't wait to see the sun a little more!
