We have ourselves a walker....well almost!

That's right, Ryland has just started to figure this walking thing out. He just decided last night he was going to go for it. He has been pulling himself up on everything and walking along all of the furniture and cabinets and whatever else he can move to and from. Lance and I were passing him back and forth last night and he was doing great. Before long, he will probably be all over the place. Good job Ryland. He is growing up faster than ever. It is so fun to watch him learn and grow. What an awesome thing it was to watch him try and walk last night. He would get so excited, he tried to run a few times becuase he was so excited. He would give us the biggest smile or laugh when he made it to Lance or I. He was very proud of himself for being brave enough to try and walk. It was so awesome and Lance and I were very proud of him and loved every minute of watching him figure it out. That is one of the great moments of being a parent. We love it! :) Here he is showing off his newly aquired skills!

Date Night

Last Friday Lance and I were able to enjoy a night on his company. :) Can't beat that. They took us to dinner at the Melting Pot.....Yummy!! I would definately reccommend it to all of you, that is if you feel like spending around 100 dollars for dinner. Very expensive, but very good. We were glad his company felt so inclined to take not only their employees but also their employees spouses. So we left the little man with Lances Dad and had a great night just being together. Ryland ended up spending the night there. It was his first sleepover! :) He had a great time and we enjoyed our night off. Thanks guys, it was great. I brought my camera but I failed to take any pictures. Lame, I know! So here is a picture of Lance and I that you can all enjoy looking at instead! 100 posts

I finally made it to 100 posts! I know crazy, it only took me almost 2 years to get here. :) My brother Brian sent me this adorable picture the other day. He told me it was definitely blog worthy so I decided to make it 100th post worthy! So cute. Ryland loves Brian too, they have become fast friends since he got home in October. Any girls out there want a date....we will gladly hook you up! :) (yes Brian that was just a free plug for YOU, hope you don't mind!) Happy 100th posts! Here is to another 100 posts and may more after that!

10 Months

Ryland is 10 months old today. My baby is getting so big. We get so many comments about him looking more like a year and a half...which is probably true. He looks mighty large for his age, but we love it. We wouldn't have him any other way. He is so active and loves to get around by crawling all day. He may have gotten his first taste of dog food the other day...whoops, sorry buddy! Ryland loves to pull himself up onto anything. He loves to stand and walk around while holding onto the furniture. The only problem is he doesn't exactly know how to get down once he is up there. We are working on that one still. :) Now if we can only get him to walk so we don't have to carry all 22 pounds of him everywhere! I am sure I will be wishing he didn't know how to walk once he figures it out, right all you parents out there? Happy 10 months Ryland, we can't believe you will be one in 2 months! And what is a post without a picture. Ryland pulled himself up on the ledge by the windows this morning. He was enjoying watching the kids walk to school and whatever else happens out there.

Summer Dreamin'

Last weekend Lance and I took Ryland swimming. He LOVED it! It has already been a long cold winter here and it was so nice to enjoy the warm water. We can't wait for summer to come already! :) Ryland went down the big yellow slide for the first time. He didn't exactly have any reaction to that one. Just another day for him! Give him a couple more months it might be a little more exciting for him. He loved watching all of the kids playing around. We had a great time and are hopeful that summer will actually come again! Wahoo!
