October 2014

We had a super busy fun filled October. It started out with Cohen learning how to wave! Hi buddy! Cohen also learned how much fun it is to throw toys, cars, anything really into the bathtub as well. Yep, so much fun! We went to our local fire station open house in October as well. That is always a highlight of our year and this year did not disappoint. We had a blast. We planed to get there 15 minutes before it started and walk straight to the ride on a firetruck line. We have wanted to ride the firetruck in past years but have never wanted to wait in the super long lines. Our plan worked great and we were first in line! The boys were so excited and a little scared to ride on the truck too. Ryland was super lucky and got to sit in the front seat right by the driver. Cam was really nervous at first but warmed up quick and loved it. It was actually really cool to ride in a fire truck, something I have never done before. We all had fun! Huge firetruck, not the one we rode in, just one to look at. The tires were ginormous! Cohen LOVED the balloon he got. He kept looking up at it making sure it was still there. So cute! The boys got to check out the inside of an Ambulance too. And you can notice their lovely face paintings. We got to watch the life flight helicopter take off too. We had front row seats for that and that was maybe a little too close. It got super crazy windy and the boys got a little freaked out by it. But it was really cool to watch. We only lost one balloon and a scone in all the wind! :) Good times. We had a super warm October. It was not normal, but we weren't complaining about a lot of extra outside time. Cohen many times was taking naps in his stroller just like this. He almost always sleeps with his hands up above his head. I love it. He also loved going up and down the slide in our yard. He wishes he could live outside, what kid doesn't though?! I seriously can't get enough of this boy, his hair, smile, and squishyness! Love! Camden loves toys so much. He always is walking out the door with something in his hand. The trip to the park this day included his James train. He had a great time driving it all over the park curb. Cam also tried to jump out of a swing for the first time one evening at Grandmas. I didn't go quite as planned but was pretty funny. Good try Cam! Rylands school did a Color Fun run 5k for a fundraiser. He was SO excited to participate. I did it with him. It was a lot of fun. Here we are before the race. Stretching out, warming up, I love this boy! And here we are after, yep, we got covered in color. Ryland loved running through the color stations. He did pretty good and ran for the first mile maybe. Then we walked the rest of it, but he sill did it! Great job Ryland! They also had a little kids race that just looped around the field. He ran around that too. It was so fun to do that with Ryland. I hope there are many more races for us to do together in the future! We also enjoyed lots of trips to lagoon again during the fall season. It was so fun to see their Halloween decorations and go through their mazes and such. Cute boys! We also went to the local pumpkin patch. Camden was in tractor heaven. Cohen is the best dishwasher loader there ever was. :) He wants to do this all day long too. Love the drool smile! And just because a smile this big is rare to catch on camera for Camden. I love this!! It was a great October.
