Disneyland 2012 a.k.a super long post!

Last week we enjoyed an amazingly fun family vacation to Disneyland. We have been wanting to get there for several months now and finally made it happen! Lance had a bike race from Salt Lake to St. George (I know crazy right) and that was the start of the trip. The race is called Salt to Saint and he, my brother James and some friends made up an 8 man team. They each had 3 legs and it took them about 24 hours to finish. Lance said it was a blast, besides freezing at night! So I put on my brave face and drove to Mesquite by myself with the boys to stay at Lances moms house on Friday night so I could meet Lance at the finish line in St. George on Saturday morning. I was slightly nervous about the drive but I just decided hey, I have all day to get there and if it takes me all day, then so be it. I was totally willing to stop as much as needed till we got there. And guess what? The boys were great. They slept for the first half of the drive and I only had to stop once to get a movie going for them. Of course there was the usual crying and such, but nothing out of the ordinary, so I was happy with that. We got up early on Saturday morning to meet up with Lance. I had the best company while waiting for him to come in. Here he is bringing the team in on the last leg. And the team, good work guys! James and Lance We headed back to Mesquite and Lance got a much needed nap for a couple of hours and then we continued on our journey to Las Vegas. We stayed with Lances brother Jonny and his wife Misty there. It was so nice to let the boys run around all night with their cousin Mason. They loved playing in the backyard with the water table and all of Masons toys. Misty had the missionaries over for dinner as well so it was fun to visit with them too. Look at these sweet boys taking a much needed bath! They had so much fun together! Too cute! We once again got in the car early Sunday morning to drive to Disneyland. Maybe the boys were done with the car at this moment....Ryland just couldn't get comfortable anymore! Ha ha! Lances sister Marie lives just over 20 minutes from Disneyland and we were lucky enough to get to stay with her. We got in early enough that we decided to check out the beach that afternoon. The boys were anxious to get out and do something. It was a beautiful day! I am missing this.... Marie and the boys, love this one! Heaven on earth Lance couldn't wait to get out on the boogie board. Wilson was nice enough to hang onto Ryland while Lance was out. This might be my favorite picture from the trip. How can you not love the pure joy on this boys face! I love it! And Camden, well this face explains how he felt about the ocean. He wasn't a huge fan, especially of the water. He did however LOVE eating snacks on the beach, throwing sand and rocks, and playing with the sand toys. Yep this boy loves him some goldfish! And what would a trip to the beach be without being buried in the sand. Awesome! And of course a family picture! We had an amazing bbq by the pool at Maries that night and headed to bed for an early morning at Disneyland the next day! And here we are on the tram ride into Disneyland bright and early! The new cars land was the big highlight of the trip and Disneyland. And yes, it lived up to they hype in more than one way. It was super crowded to even get into cars land in the morning. We were able to take a quick visit with Lightning McQueen which Ryland was not too sure about here. He didn't want to take his eyes off of him! We also rode Mators tractors. Both the boys loved it! Bugs life theater, ya, bad idea by me! Ha ha, the boys were beyond terrified, I was beyond terrified for that matter! We lived though and got this adorable picture with Marie! Lance and Camden Ryland and I waiting for the sorain over california ride. Ryland went on this ride 3 times! Winner! And the classic disney picture! Goofy! Clearly Cam was not a fan! Love these boys! Chillin in toon town. That was a nice break! Ha ha! Cam almost got this off the ground! Can't you tell by our face that this really is the happiest place on earth? Its a small world! We met up with Lances cousin Wendy and her daughter Morgan just before we went on this ride. It was so fun to see them! Group pictures, us with Marie and James And us with Wendy James and cute little Morgan! Morgan and Ryland. Ryland loved every second with Morgan. She was so good to take him by the hand and show him all over Disneyland. They were adorable together! We waited out the hour long line to ride the Radiator Springs Racer ride that evening. It wasn't a bad line because it wasn't hot. Ryland was tired, but made it through the line. My little trooper! And yes, it was worth every minute we waited. That ride is awesome! So cool! Ryland said it was his favorite ride. I was sad Cam couldn't ride it, he was too little. Thanks Marie and Wendy for watching him so we could ride it. Three peas in a pod! Cam felt so special to be included in on this one! It was a great first day at Disneyland. Tuesday we took it super easy. It was nice to enjoy the day with Marie and James. We had breakfast at the amazing Rose's cafe. And of course enjoyed some time at the beach again. Beautiful day, love these boys! Aw.... Ryland thought this was magical. It is awesome when your kids think you rock for small things like this! :) Cam could have cared less but hey 1 out of 2 is not bad! It was nice to have a day between Disneyland to take it easy. We also visited the local mall with a coy pond. Super cool, Cam wanted to take a swim, but both the boys loved it. And on Wednesday it was back to Disneyland we went. We got there early again and Ryland was lucky enough to get some one on one time with Goofy. He just walked right over and took him by the hand.... And they went and splashed in the puddles together! He loved it! And gave him a big hug after that! So cute! It was more crowded on Wednesday and we spent a lot of time waiting in lines. Both the boys hung in there pretty well. We waited for almost an hour to get on this toy story ride. That one was fun too, worth the wait. And don't we look awesome! We had a fast pass for the Cars ride today, so we only had to wait for about 15 minutes. That was much nicer, and again the ride did not disappoint! It was fun. Bumper cars. And this little one must have been completely worn out and did this for over 3 hours at Disneyland. Crazy right? He was out cold and that was just fine with me! Lance and Ryland And now my friends, wow, that was long and a ton of pictures and that was about it for our trip. On Thursday we swam in Maries pool before we drove up to see the Epps family. The boys loved the pool, we should have done that more. They were super happy there! It was great to see the Epps family and spend time with them. I totally should have taken pictures though! We were just having so much fun hanging out at this awesome park with Emma and eating delicious food! And then Friday after a super yummy breakfast made my Uncle Jamie it was back to the car and tons of driving again. We did hit up M & M world in Vegas on our way back, that was fun. We checked out the 3d show. We stayed the night in Mesquite again and headed home on Saturday. It was such a great trip with tons of memories. I have only scratched the surface here. A big thanks to everyone for letting us stay with them and to the Tilleys for taking care of el doggie while we were gone! Wish we were back here already!
