We had a great family reunion this year at Bear Lake with my family. It was different in the fact that we gathered on a Monday-Wednesday instead of the usual weekend. It was a fun change and we had a great time. We got up there Monday night and enjoyed dinner and nice family night. Brian and Ryland at family night! Best buddies!
Chris and Maria hooked us up with an awesome cabin right on the beach at bear lake. It was perfect, had a kitchen, bathrooms, and a couple rooms to sleep in. We also set up our tent so it was like camping only way better because we didn't have to rough it at all! It was great. And it was perfect for the nice rain storm that came in Monday night because we could all just go inside and wait it out. We also celebrated Brian, Eric and Miles birthday on Monday night as well with a delicious ice cream cake! Signing happy birthday!

Family Picture! It stopped raining after the family night and we enjoyed our ice cream outside in the nice cool air! It felt great!
Ryland loved his sleeping bag and slept great!
This other one however, don't let this picture fool you, we had a rough couple of nights with him.
Tuesday we woke up to a beautiful morning. The other great thing about the place we stayed was they had a huge sandbox full of toys and things to keep the kids entertained for hours. It was so nice. They all loved playing outside. Bryson with Ry and Cam
Maria was so prepared with awesome crafts for us to do on Tuesday morning. Ryland was super excited to paint his airplane.

We also melted crayons to make another beautiful art creation. Ry and Thomas were loving watching Brian and Sharon do theirs.

Maria also had another fun idea to get our favorite songs and put them on a cd. We played them throughout the reunion and tried to guess whos song was whos. The kids all loved this paradise song by coldplay. Here they are all dancing too it. They were having a blast. I had never heard that song before but now it is Rylands new favorite song and it is all we listen too!
Ryland has some mad dancing skills...ha ha!
Ryland also loved the basketball hoop they had.
We spent the afternoon down at the lake which I didn't bring my camera down for. I should have, but anyway, it was super fun. Both the boys loved playing in the water. You can see in the basketball picture the awesome lake tramp they had. It was super fun to play out on the water on. The boys of course had a crazy game of flys up, it was hilarious to watch them going at it. Such a fun day at the lake. We all loved it. Here is Lance and the boys after our fun afternoon as you can see Ryland had a blast and is out cold!
We enjoyed some amazingly delicious food at the reunion. This peach cobbler was divine! Loved it!
Lance Chris and James and Thomas decided to take an evening swim on Tuesday night. The water was so nice and we got there just as the sun was setting!
Ryland was happy to once again throw rocks/sand into the water.
Poor little Cam here, looks so sick. He got a fever early in the day Tuesday. He was in and out of being happy and sad but by Tuesday night I could tell he had had enough. Wednesday we realized he was coming down with the joyous hand foot and mouth disease. Yuck! So not fun especially since he was super contagious while we were with everyone but had no idea he was coming down with it. Aw.. the joys. So sorry again everyone if we infected your children! He was pretty well over it in about 2 days, I don't think he had too bad of a case because he only had a few blisters and they were really only on the outside of his mouth and his feet. So thankfully he seemed to be over it quick but man, no fun!
Anyway, it was a super fun reunion. We had an amazing breakfast before we left on Wednesday morning. Thanks Chris and Maria for a great time! Until next year!!
