Finally an update

I have been a big time slacker with blogging lately so here is an update on us as of late. First off thanks to Lance who has been working ever so diligently to finish this project.
Amazing right? I LOVE IT, and that doesn't even do it justice. We both have enjoyed it so much. Who would have thought that we could go from this....
to this....
to this....
You can kind of imagine what it might look like here...
Now to add the door. That was a little scary cutting a giant hole in my house where the window used to be. Ryland was very interested in this part as you can see.
It fits! Yeah!!
Finished door, and yes, I have loved having a door right out to it. So nice!!
So close.....
And more of the finished product. Clearly the slide is the favorite for the boys. Thanks to our awesome neighbors for hooking us up with that one! The boys and anyone the comes over has loved it! So fun!
It has been so fun, and so nice to have it done in time for summer so we can enjoy it all summer long. Needless to say we basically live out there now! Thanks to Lance, family and the many neighbors who have spent countless hours working on this. Lance never ceases to amaze me with his mad skills. He did such great work and has spent so much time doing it for us. Thanks Lance!
In other news around here. We took Cam in for a 15th month check up. He now weighs 25 1/2 pounds (60%) and is 25 1/2 (90%) inches tall. My kids height and weight always seems to be so close in number. Kind of funny. Anyway, how does this compare to Rys 15th month stats you ask? Well Ryland was 27 1/2 pounds and 25 1/2 inches tall. So Ry weighed a little more but they are the exact same height at this age. Cam was such a gem at the doctor, which is good for him. He has a handful of a personality and loves to be busy busy busy. There is never a dull moment with him around. He is so curious and loves to explore. He doesn't sit still for more than 5 minutes and that is only to eat some food as quickly as possible so he can move on to the next adventure. Well I guess he does take a great nap and sleeps through most nights so we are happy about that. He loves to say daddy, mommy, doggie and if you ask him what a doggie says he responds with a hilarious howl! I love it. I have been trying to get it on camera for the last few days but he won't ever do it with a camera pointing in his face. I shall keep trying! He tries to say car and truck as well and if there is an airplane flying over, he is the first to let you know. He usually says goo goo for the airplanes though! He wishes he could do everything Ry does, he loves to watch Ryland play. They have fun together. He LOVES this car that nana gave him for his first birthday. He can be found doing this almost everyday. He loves to jump and jump and ride around on it. It is hilarious! And here is the little dude at 15 months. He loves the deck more than all of us. The freedom of outside. There is nothing better right?
He loves digging through the deck box too. So fun!
And just for fun, here is a picture of Ry at 15 months.
They look pretty similar, but definitely their own person. Ry had so much more hair than Cam, but their faces are pretty similar. Brothers huh?
We sure do love both of these boys. And they both look so much like their Daddy! Cam and Lance and basically clones of each other.
We have also stayed busy at the Discovery Gateway. We have gone there so much this year. It has been fun. Ryland the construction worker!
Cam pushed this lawn mower all over for at least an hour. I am not kidding, he wouldn't let go of it until I made him share with a little boy who had been patiently waiting for his turn. And yes, he lost it when I took it from him. Seriously! It was lovely. The little boy was not interested in it after a couple of minutes and you better bet your dollars that Cam ran right back for it as soon as he let go. He could have done that all day. So funny!
Ryland and Thomas, they had fun together there.
We also have been to the zoo several times already this year. It has been a great way to get some energy out for a couple of hours. Ry and Adelaide always have a blast there together. Ryland is a giant child, but please note he is standing on a block here making him look way super bigger than cousin Adelaide who is only 3 months younger than him. Check out the tiger in the water here though. The kids loved that!
And that is basically it. Wow, super busy and only getting more busy with summer!! Happy summer everyone!
