2 Months and the dreaded haircut!

Camden is 2 months old today and is getting so big. I took him to the doctor yesterday for his 2 month check up and his stats are as follows, he weighs 12 pounds 7 ounces (80%) and is 23 3/4 inches tall (65%), I can't remember his head measurement but he is 65% on that as well. Now I know you are all wondering how that compares to Rylands 2 month stats right....? So just for fun Ryland was 12 pounds 6 ounces and was 23 1/2 inches tall at 2 months. So yes my friends, it looks like we are going to have another big boy on our hands here! Not sure how we ended up with such big boys but we are not complaining at all. Camden has been so great the last two months. He eats great (clearly!) and has started sleeping from 11 to 6 almost every night now. That has been super nice. He is so chill and loves to show off his smile and give you a little coo or two. We are loving every minute with him.
2 Months

One of his big smiles! Love those!

Probably the biggest thing in the last two months is that his brother Ryland finally likes him, for the most part! Thankfully, for my sake, things seem to be going so much better now that Ryland has accepted the fact that his brother is staying weather he likes it or not. We knew he would eventually get used to it and we are glad he finally has. He has been loving trying to share all of his toys with him and also trying to put his pacifier in his mouth. What kid doesn't love to do that for another kid...? They are so cute together and it is going to be so fun to watch them grow up.
Sharing his basketball and helping him hold in his pacifer.

He loves wearing their matching pajamas.

Now about this dreaded haircut. It has been 4 months since we last cut Ryland's hair and needless to say it was getting quite long. Lance and I like it a little longer, but he was getting a tail growing in the back and had a bit of a Justin Bieber look going on. What do you think? :)

So we decided it was time to finally give it a cut. So here is his hair cut in the following videos. We tried to talk to him about it and tell him he needed to get it cut before actually doing it. This is what he told us when we were asking him about it. You can tell how super long it is while he is shaking his head no. DISCLAIMER....we got a new camera a couple months ago and it does HD vidoes...cool huh? Well, they play fine on youtube when I upload them but when I put them on blogger it cuts off the side of it. Why? I don't know either, any advice, anyone else had this issue? So I apologize that these movies are slightly cut off on the side. It isn't because we just don't know how to aim our camera right! You can get the basic idea from them and if you wanted to see the full movie, well you will just have to get on over to youtube and watch it there!

Then we got him ready and he had to sit on my lap. But it still didn't matter, he didn't want it done at all. I think it is hilarious that he is putting his hands on his head as if to cover up his hair and prevent us from cutting it.

Please note, no child was hurt in this incident however you might think we were severely injuring Ryland in this video. He didn't scream like this the whole time, just 99.999 percent of the time! :) And I wish I was joking but I am totally serious. He hated every minute of it. Seriously though, what can you do, it had to be done.

And the result. He at least isn't screaming anymore and I think it looks great. Lance did awesome even with Ryland screaming and turning and not cooperating at all! He still says love you at the end of this movie too, so he doesn't totally hate us for cutting his hair.

And doesn't he look like a little stud!

Those movies are too funny! He'll laugh when he gets older and watches them.

that's quite the job to cut a kids hair :) You did great - the movies are hilarious, and he looks like such a STUD! :)

Nice Haircut. We usually put them in the kitchen sink with a sucker and a little water running. They are good distractions and who doesn't like to play in water. They hardly notice getting their haircut.

Those are great! Brigham is almost 5 and we STILL have hair cutting issues! He hates it. But we've figured out a system that if Clint cuts and I sit there with the vacuum hose and suck it up so it doesn't hit his back, he's a lot happier. Also, your Camden is way bigger than Lyza! I love it!
